How the composite score works

The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.

Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.

Install steps name a Setup.exe and a .dmg, but downloads are .zip

New users following the installation guide look for an installer file they never received, right before they activate a license.

The Windows tab of /installation-guide.php says to run "WebsiteCopierPro-Setup.exe", and the macOS tab says to open "WebsiteCopierPro.dmg" and eject the disk image. Every download button links to websitecopierpro-win.zip or websitecopierpro-mac.zip instead. On /downloads.php, the macOS card lists "DMG disk image" directly above "File: websitecopierpro-mac.zip", and the Windows card lists a "One-click installer" and a "Portable version available", but no portable build is offered. Buyers reach these instructions at the install step, before they can activate a paid license, and the steps don't match the file they downloaded.

Phone visitors get only Windows and macOS buttons for the app

Visitors who find the image downloader on a phone have no way to send the desktop app to their computer, so they have to remember to come back later.

On a phone, the "Need Images from a Whole Website?" upsell on /image-downloader.php shows two buttons, Windows and macOS, and nothing else. This section has no email link, "send to my computer" option or QR code. A phone visitor who wants the paid app hits this at the download step, and their only option is to come back on a computer later.

additional findings
Medium

The home page share image returns a 404

The home page's og:image tag points to https://websitecopier.pro/images/og-image.png, and that URL returns HTTP 404. The page also sets twitter:card to summary_large_image, so link previews that use this tag have no image to show.

Medium

The home page response lacks six security headers

The response from https://websitecopier.pro/ is missing Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security-Policy, CSP frame-ancestors or X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff, Referrer-Policy, and Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.

Medium

Testimonial badge and form hint text fall below contrast minimums

The "Verified User" badge under the home page testimonial is #7a7a77 on white, a contrast of 4.3 where 4.5 is required. The "(optional)" hint beside the contact form's message label is #a3a3a0 on white, a contrast of 2.52. The same grey text pattern appears on /changelog.php, /buy-license.php and /book-a-demo.php.
