How the composite score works
The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.
Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.
The Security page says deleting listings can be turned on
Sellers who check the Security page before connecting their Etsy shop find a safety claim that contradicts the home page's main promise.
The home page permissions panel says "ConnectMyShop simply can't delete listings," and the best AI tools guide says "listings can't be deleted." The page the home page links as "How we protect your shop", /security, says "Publishing and deleting are separate permissions, off by default," which describes deleting as something that can be switched on. Sellers who open that page to confirm their shop is safe before signing in with Etsy get two different answers to whether an AI can delete their listings.
Try it: Open the home page and read the "Delete listings: NOT SUPPORTED" row. Then open /security and read the "You control how changes are approved" section.
The home page is missing a Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy header
The response from https://connectmyshop.app/ is missing Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.
The demo's "Shop connected" badge is below the contrast minimum
The "Shop connected" badge in the chat demo on the home page has 11px green text (#16895c) on a pale mint background (#dcf3e8), at a contrast ratio of 3.78:1. For text this size, WCAG AA requires 4.5:1. The badge is decoration inside the demo and does not affect connecting a shop.
