How the composite score works
The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.
Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.
YouTube links fail in the free preview on the home page
Visitors who arrive with a YouTube link to a choir song get an error in place of the free preview the home page offers.
On the home page, a pasted YouTube link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvFH_6DNRCY) stops with "YouTube is refusing automated downloads right now. Upload the audio file instead.", and the heading above it still reads "Your free preview is on its way." A Spotify link sent the same way produced a solfa and staff sheet, so the failure only affects YouTube, which is the first source named in the link field and in the Pro "Songs from a link" feature. A visitor meets this at the try step, the step meant to show the product before signup.
Try it: Open notefusion.studio in a fresh browser, choose Song link, paste any YouTube video URL and press Transcribe. The red "YouTube is refusing automated downloads" banner appears.
The choir plan's price only appears after signing up
Choir leaders have to create and confirm an account before they can see what the choir plan costs, and Pro buyers who click a paid offer land on a page that says "Free to start".
The pricing section says "One choir plan makes you and up to 25 singers Pro: see it in the app," but gives no price. That link goes to /app?signup=1&upgrade=1, a signup page that only says "Free to start: 3 hummed or recorded transcriptions every week" and asks for a name, email and password. The home page's "Get Pro, $6.99 for a month" button also opens this generic page, which says nothing about Pro, $6.99 or the Halloween offer. So a buyer at the pricing step loses track of the plan they chose.
Try it: Open notefusion.studio/#pricing and click "see it in the app" under the choir plan. The signup page has no choir plan and no price. Then click "Get Pro, $6.99 for a month" on the home page: the same free signup page opens with no mention of Pro.
