How the composite score works

The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.

Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.

The changelog lists a free plan the pricing page does not offer

Visitors who read the changelog expect a free Starter plan and a $19 Growth plan, then find $12 and $29 with only a trial at pricing.

On /changelog, the "Simpler pricing" entry dated Oct 2, 2026 says "Plans are now Starter (free), Growth ($19) and Scale ($39)", and no newer entry replaces it. The /pricing page shows Starter at $12/mo and Growth at $29/mo, a 30-day trial and no Scale plan, and /about gives the same $12 and $29. A buyer comparing plans before starting the trial meets two different price lists, and the changelog still calls the old one current.

The Tools and Blog pages are empty "coming soon" placeholders

Visitors checking whether Sourcify is an active, finished product before signing up open two navigation pages and find nothing on either.

The /tools page has the headline "Free tools to find what's actually growing your business", but all four of its cards (Traffic, Conversion, Attribution and Revenue tool) are labelled "Coming soon". The /blog page shows only "First posts coming soon". Both pages are linked from the navigation, so a visitor still deciding whether to sign up for a paid analytics product finds two empty pages, and one of them headlines free tools that cannot be used.

Medium/demo · phone

The phone demo's Sources table shows numbers but no source names

Phone visitors who try the live demo cannot see which traffic source drives the visitors and signups, and showing that is the product's main promise.

On /demo at phone width, the Sources table rows each stretch to about 230px tall. The tinted bars hold a single line of figures (3,000 / 70 / 2.3%, then 1,500 / 44 / 2.9%), and the source-name column is empty. A visitor at the try step sees attribution figures without the sources they belong to, and the product is sold on that attribution.

Try it: Open usesourcify.com/demo at a 390px wide viewport and scroll to the Sources card. The rows are very tall and have no source name next to the numbers.

The demo's conversion KPI card is cut off on phones

On /demo at phone width, the KPI row's right edge cuts off the third card: its label shows only "Con", the value shows "2.1", the change badge shows "12" and the caption reads "182 sig". Nothing on screen shows that the row can scroll sideways. A buyer at the try step can read visitors and revenue but not conversion, which is the signup attribution the product is sold on.

Medium

The demo's Goals & events links open a sign-in page

The /demo page says "Explore the dashboard without connecting a project," but the "Goals & events" links on its Goals and Custom events cards point to /settings?tab=goals. They redirect to /login?next=%2Fsettings, which reads "Welcome back. Sign in to your dashboard." A prospect meets this on the try step, while judging whether to start a trial, and nothing tells them why they left the demo.

Medium

The header logo loads a 1280px image to show it at 28px

The Sourcify logo in the header on /about is a 1280 by 1280 image, requested with w=1920, but it is displayed at 28 by 28 pixels on a 1x screen. It also has loading set to lazy, though it sits at the top of the page. The transfer size could not be measured, so the actual payload cost is not established.

Medium

The header logo is served at 1280px for a 28px slot

The Sourcify header logo on /blog is requested with w=1920 and decodes at 1280x1280, but it renders at 28x28 on a 1x display. It is also marked loading="lazy" even though it sits above the fold. The transfer size could not be measured, so the actual byte cost is unknown.

Medium

The home page response lacks CSP, frame and CORP headers

The response from https://usesourcify.com/ is missing Content-Security-Policy, CSP frame-ancestors or X-Frame-Options, and Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.

Medium

Home page dashboard KPI cards point to a missing chart id

Assistive technology therefore cannot link each toggle to the chart it changes. The buttons still carry readable aria-label and aria-pressed values.

Medium

Inactive feature marquee items fall below contrast minimum

On the home page feature marquee, inactive items such as "Website analytics" and "Live globe & visitor journeys" render at #b7b8b9 on white, a contrast ratio of 1.98 against the 3:1 that WCAG requires for large text. The same pattern appears on /about and /blog. The active item in blue is readable, so the greyed items are a deliberate de-emphasis rather than missing content.
