How the composite score works

The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.

Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.

A home page section runs 138px past the phone screen

Phone visitors reading the home page to understand the product find one feature section cut off at the right edge, and the page slides sideways under their thumb.

On a 390px phone screen, the home page measures 528px wide. The cause is a feature section about 5,500px down: its text column, its bullet list and its rounded card are each 504px wide, so their right side runs off the screen and the whole page scrolls sideways. Visitors meet this while reading the home page to learn what the product does, before they press Start free.

Medium

The show-password toggle on /auth is an 18px tap target

On phones, the "Show password" button inside the password field on /auth is 18 by 18 CSS pixels. WCAG 2.5.8 requires at least 24 by 24, and the button also lacks enough surrounding space to qualify for the spacing exception. The login and sign-up buttons are full size, so this only affects revealing the password.

Medium

The /auth email and password fields have no autocomplete hints

On /auth, the email and password inputs on both the log in and the create account forms have no autocomplete attribute, no name and no id. The only label each field has is its placeholder. Browsers still recognize these fields from type=email and type=password, so this affects how smoothly saved credentials fill in and how new passwords get suggested at signup.

Medium

The home page is missing three security response headers

The response from https://airfive.com/ is missing Content-Security-Policy, CSP frame-ancestors or X-Frame-Options, and Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.

Medium

Testimonial star ratings use an aria-label screen readers may ignore

On the home page, each testimonial's star rating is a plain div with aria-label="5 out of 5" and no role. The testimonial text still reads normally. Only the rating summary may be lost.

Medium

The orange Start free buttons fail the text contrast minimum

The "Start free →" buttons on the home page use #fcfcfc text on a #df5f35 background, a contrast ratio of 3.51:1. Normal-size text requires at least 4.5:1. The same orange is used for small accent text on white at 3.6:1, and it appears on /, /pricing, /docs/installation, /auth and /forgot-password.
