How the composite score works

The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.

Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.

The Start free installer doubles the path when given a wp-admin URL

New users who paste the admin or login address they have open in WordPress get sent to a broken page on their own project instead of the plugin installer.

On /start/, the "Your WordPress project URL" field adds "/wp-admin/plugin-install.php" to whatever the visitor types. If they type "https://example.com/wp-admin/", the page still says "Your installer link is ready." but the link is "https://example.com/wp-admin/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?s=vibe-ai&tab=search&type=term", and "https://example.com/wp-login.php" becomes ".../wp-login.php/wp-admin/plugin-install.php...". This happens at the install step right after Start free, so a new buyer who pastes the address from their admin tab is sent to a page on their own WordPress that is not the plugin installer.

additional findings
Medium

A home page review filter pill took 680ms to respond

One of the review filter pill buttons on the home page took 680ms to paint a response after a click. Google rates interaction delays above 500ms as poor. The delay did not exceed that threshold on a second load, and the pills sit beside the review list rather than on the Start free path.

Medium

The home page is missing four security response headers

The response from https://wpvibe.ai/ is missing Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security-Policy, Referrer-Policy, and Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.

Medium

Footer column headings fall below the contrast minimum

The footer headings "Product", "Solutions" and "Resources" on /, /start/ and /features/ are 12px #5e5e5f text on a #070709 background, a contrast ratio of 3.1:1. WCAG AA requires 4.5:1 for text this size. They label footer link groups, and none of them sits on the path from reading the home page to Start free or pricing.

Medium

The home page star rating uses an aria-label that screen readers may skip

On the home page, the star rating container is a plain div with aria-label="Rated 4.98 out of 5" and no role, and the aria-prohibited-attr rule does not allow that. Assistive technology may ignore the label. The rating is still available because "4.98 / 5 from 193 reviews" appears as visible text beside the stars.
