How the composite score works
The overall score is a weighted average of the categories: Getting the product 40%, Trust before buying 20%, Mobile 15%, Speed 15%, and Polish and audit 10%. It is never more than 10 points above the Getting the product score, because a product a visitor cannot get cannot score well on anything else, and never more than 25 points above the weakest category, so one badly broken area is not averaged away. Any issue in the main list caps it at 89, so a score above 90 means nothing worth fixing was found.
Each category starts at 100 and stays there when nothing was found in it, whether or not the inspection got that far. Each distinct verified finding deducts 60 points for a serious problem on the path from arriving to paying, 40 for another serious problem, 30, 15 or 8 by high, medium or low severity otherwise, and 4 for an audit finding. Each additional finding below the list takes 2 more points off the overall score, up to 10. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.
The G2 rating reads 4.5, 4.8 and 4.6 on three buying pages
Buyers checking review scores before they book a demo get a different G2 rating at each step, so the scores look less credible.
The home page's "Rated the # 1 Global Employment Platform." section shows "4.5 ★" next to the G2 logo and "4,900+ reviews". The /pricing hero says "★ 4.8 G2", and the Book a demo form shows the G2 logo with "4.6/5". A buyer moving from pricing to the demo request sees the same review score quoted three ways at the point where they hand over their details.
Try it: Open remote.com and scroll to "Rated the # 1 Global Employment Platform." to see 4.5. Then open /pricing to see "4.8 G2" in the hero, and click Book a demo to see "4.6/5" beside the G2 logo.
The About page logs a MediaError on mobile load
Each time /about loads in a phone viewport, it throws an uncaught "MediaError" page error. The hero video player still shows its poster frame, a 2:53 duration and working-looking controls, and the rest of the page renders normally. Nothing shows the video failing to play, so a visitor has no visible failure to run into.
The home page response has no Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy header
The response from https://remote.com/ is missing Cross-Origin-Resource-Policy.
