How the composite score works

The overall score is a weighted average: Visual 18.75%, Accessibility 25%, Buttons and links 31.25%, Under the hood 12.5%, and Mobile 12.5%. Unassessed categories are excluded and the remaining weights are normalized.

Product categories start at 100. Each distinct verified finding deducts 30 points for a reproduced flow defect, or 18 for critical, 12 for high, 7 for medium, and 3 for low stored detector severity. Scores stop at zero and round to whole numbers. All verified findings count, including those beyond the displayed list. The formula is fixed and versioned, so the same saved evidence always receives the same score.

The home page takes six seconds to paint its main content

Largest Contentful Paint on the desktop home page measures 6012 ms, against the 4000 ms mark Google classes as poor. The hero area carries large screenshot imagery of the app over a dark starfield background, which is the heaviest content on the route. The same measurement came back on a second load.

Try it: Open / in Chrome DevTools with the Performance panel recording a cold load at desktop width and read the LCP marker; it lands near 6s.

Minor/changelog

The changelog page takes 7.7s to paint its main content

On /changelog at desktop width, the largest contentful paint lands at 7,724ms. Google classes anything above 4,000ms as poor, so this page is roughly twice past that bound. The same timing came back on a second load, and the page is a text-heavy release list with no obvious heavy media, so the delay comes from load-path work rather than image weight.

The licence price differs between the home page and the EULA

The home page purchase call to action reads "Buy a licence, $8", directly under the feature list that ends with the window switcher and Dock previews. The EULA at /eula states that "Orbit Pro, the system monitor, the volume mixer and the window switcher, is a one-time $15 lifetime licence, active on up to three Macs at once, with a 14-day trial that needs no card and never touches the store." Both describe the same one-time Orbit Pro licence, so one of the two prices is wrong. The EULA is the binding document, which makes the mismatch a commercial exposure as well as a content error.

Try it: Open the home page and read the price on the "Buy a licence" button, then open /eula and read the "What you get" paragraph.

Minorhome page

The Pro feature list differs between the home page and the EULA

The home page pricing card lists Orbit Pro as "Everything in Free, plus: Keep Awake, stop your Mac (and its display) from sleeping, lid open or closed", followed by the system monitor, volume mixer and window switcher. The EULA on /eula defines the paid tier narrowly: "Orbit Pro, the system monitor, the volume mixer and the window switcher, is a one-time $15 lifetime licence", and it describes the free tier as covering the clipboard and screen capture only. Keep Awake is sold as a Pro feature on the home page but is absent from the licence terms that define what the purchase includes. The two descriptions of the same paid tier cannot both be complete, so a buyer reading the EULA sees a smaller product than the one advertised.

Try it: Open / and read the ORBIT PRO column, then open /eula and read the "What you get" paragraph; compare the feature lists.
